About this item: By Abdul Aziz Mohamadu, this mask conveys a quiet joy. Its colorful contours are hand carved from seasoned African rubberwood and beautifully painted. Seed beads of recycled glass adorn the cheeks and brow. Used by the Gogoberi tribe in Nigeria during their Gobirawa harvest festival, it gives thanks to the gods.

About our Artist: ‘I always knew I wanted to paint, but wasn’t sure I could make a living out of it, so I looked into other fields too,’ recalls Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. ‘I observed master carver Musa at his workshop for a period of time, then I picked up a log of wood and started carving out a mask as I had observed him doing. This surprised Musa and he was willing to help me perfect the skill. I developed a love for this new art, and that’s how I eventually became a master carver too!’

Our 40″ – 50″ rustic planters boxes (Tall: 5″ – 5.75″T) fill that sweet spot on your table without taking it over. Choose between three different widths: 4″, 5″, & 6″” and three different colors (Natural – Gray, Aged/Rustic & White Wash).

Our wonderfully unique and vintage looking boxes are all hand built, exclusively using reclaimed lumber and nails. There is a certain look and feel that only comes with truly weathered wood.

Each box is absolutely unique and no two will ever be the same. Differences in original markings, nail holes, stains, chips, breaks and splits give these boxes an authentic look. Please see the pictures for further details!

This urn is made from the finest solid hardwoods with a three dimensional artistry on the front showing a deer in the forest scene set into the walnut hardwood urn. The three dimensional scene is created by laser cuts and engravings. The wood used to create the three dimensional scene on the front are also from actual hardwoods that are assembled on a laser etched panel to create a three dimensional affect.
